With the power of the crow moon watching over us, Kristen and I embarked on our second sound bath training session. Five months had passed since we last sat in Jamie’s studio playing the crystal bowls and banging the gongs, yet, we picked right back up where we had left off. We discussed the law of resonance and how to offer frequency for others to come into balance.
If you have never experienced a sound bath before, I encourage you to give it a try. Even if you think it’s hocus pocus, there’s scientific proof that the frequencies offered during a sound bath turn on the parasympathetic nervous system to achieve deep relaxation. within a theta state. Most of us function by burning our sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight mode) that drains our adrenals, makes us tired and urges us to inhale that cup of coffee. To be balanced, we should be exercising both states at different times, which for most, means we need to take more time to relax.
I’ve been deeply fascinated by the power of touch therapy. I absolutely love playing with the tuning forks and experiencing the vibration of each frequency on various pressure points. I ordered my first crystal bowl (a 12 inch B) and a pair of tuning forks (Om and Sun) and I absolutely cannot wait to start sharing their power with others.
In the coming months, Kristen and I will start to team up to offer sound bath sessions so stay tuned.
